Due to the recent escalation in the status of the COVID-19 virus, the AIA Florida Gulf Board met to assess the situation, and, in the interest of public health, the Board voted to postpone the Sarasota Design Conference and Design Awards Dinner. We are working on a tentative date in October and are happy to announce that all current speakers are on board for the reset timeline. We are currently discussing the details of alternative arrangements and will provide you with further information as details are finalized.

Thank you for your understanding. We have a great conference planned and look forward to seeing all of you, albeit a few months later.

COVID-19 Update: The conference is proceeding as planned, but we are certainly keeping our ears and eyes open for any changes.  We look to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and AIA Florida for guidance on this matter.  We are in discussion with our event hotel to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and disinfection. We also have a couple of plan Bs in case there is an outbreak in Florida.

Sunday Workshop: Carbon Zero Vision

  • The workshop is free to Conference attendees. However, space is limited for the workshop and you must complete a separate registration to attend. Conference attendees will receive a workshop code in their Conference registration confirmation email.
  • Workshop fee is $50 for non-Conference attendees.

Additional tickets for Friday and Saturday evening social events may be purchased for $30 during the registration process.


Official Conference t-shirts may be purchased for $20 during the registration process. T-shirt orders will be accepted through March 23, 2020. T-shirts must be pre-ordered and will not be available for purchase at the Conference.
T-shirts will be available for pickup at the Conference registration desk.
