In this session the audience will learn about the different types of grab bars and the fasteners required to achieve a safe installation in multiple substrates. Also, the participants will be exposed to new innovations and recent news regarding this safety device.

Provide the architect, contractor and builder an abridged version of the 2010 ADA standards applicable only to grab bars. This document can be retained for future design reference.
Examine the common types of grab bars currently available in the market. Review their pros and cons and whether they meet ADA load requirements.
Explain the types of fasteners/fastening systems for mounting grab bars and what applications the are designed for.
Learn about Innovations in grab bar technology.
