    A well-established Sarasota-based architectural firm, dedicated to creative, high-quality design and construction, is currently seeking an Interior Designer. This person will report directly to the Director of Interior Design, and will work closely with Project Leaders and Project Managers to provide development, production support and co-ordination throughout the project delivery process as a member of the design team.

    We are looking for an individual who is flexible, outgoing and performs well in a team oriented studio environment. Candidates should be well versed in detailed design documents and work well in a teamwork environment and collaboration with field professionals.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • ·         Basic hand and computer-aided design drafting skills.
    • ·         Space planning skills and an interest in programming.
    • ·         Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
    • ·         Knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment, architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent.
    • ·         Knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.
    • ·         Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
    • ·         Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
    • ·         Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
    • ·         Proven ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines and to provide high quality service to clients.
    • ·         Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • ·         Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design including the following computer skills: Deltek Vision (highly preferred); proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop; proficiency in Revit; knowledge of 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max; knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software.

    Preferred Skills:

    • ·         Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities.
    • ·         The ability to interact regularly and professionally with technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues.
    • ·         Demonstrated ability to work in a face-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • ·         Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverable and deadline requirements.
