    Established and well-respected Sarasota-based architectural firm is seeking a Senior Architect. The Senior Architect develops technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in Architecture. Master’s degree or equivalent required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered architect in the State of Florida.

    Applicants must exhibit excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, client leadership and demonstrated team-building ability. Experience in direct supervision and leadership of administrative and junior technical staff as well as project coordination with owners, consultants and construction managers. Proficient in computer aided design software, REVIT preferred. Experience with contract and specification writing, Microsoft Project and Excel or equivalent. Work is performed with minimal direction.

     

    Essential Functions:

    • ·         Primary client and consultant contact
    • ·         Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
    • ·         May oversee the work of less experienced architects and designers.
    • ·         Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings, and develops details and edits specifications.
    • ·         Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations.
    • ·         Prepares architectural reports and progress narratives.
    • ·         Manages the internal project production and time management budget
    • ·         Manages project billing
    • ·         Develops contract documents and construction administration for large and small-scale commercial projects mandatory.
    • ·         Proficient at QA/QC and code research.
    • ·         Interacts regularly and professionally with technical staff.
    • ·         Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • ·         Organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverable and deadline requirements.
