    Sweet Sparkman Architects, a successful and growing architecture firm in Sarasota, Florida, is seeking an exceptional Interior Designer to head a new Interiors division for the firm. The ideal candidate will have strong design skills, a passion for design, and an entrepreneurial drive to help establish and grow our Interiors division. Applicants should be highly organized, detail-oriented and have an ability to work on and oversee a variety of project types. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a creative vision that transcends any individual style. Project portfolio should reflect hospitality/commercial and high-end residential interiors projects, strong visualization and presentation graphics, and coordinated construction documentation.

    Job Requirements:

    • ·         Licensed Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
    • ·         BA in Interior Design or similar design degree
    • ·         Strong design and graphic presentation skills
    • ·         Knowledge and experience with Autodesk REVIT preferred
    • ·         Excellent written, oral and organizational skills
    • ·         Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate with others in a deadline driven environment
    • ·         Technical proficiency in building interior construction, techniques and materials
    • ·         Knowledge of building and life safety codes

    Job Responsibilities:

    • ·         Work closely with Firm Principals and architectural staff on project design, material and finish selections, project documentation and management
    • ·         Guide and execute Interior Design projects through all phases of design
    • ·         Manage procurement of interior furnishings, including writing purchase and sales orders
    • ·         Prepare 3D concept perspectives, interior elevations, details, finish and furniture plans/specifications
    • ·         Produce all necessary construction documents to a high level of accuracy and detail
    • ·         Effectively manage the construction administration process for interior construction
    • ·         Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, contractors and sub-contractors.

    Job is full-time, and salary is commensurate with experience.
