Interior Designer 11-27-18

Sweet Sparkman Architects and its interiors division, Dwell Interiors, are a successful and growing design firm in Sarasota, Florida. We are seeking an exceptional Interior Designer to join our team. Responsibilities include interpreting, organizing and executing the conceptual design of a project as well as utilizing creativity, foresight and judgment to meet project requirements and objectives through project completion.

Job Duties:

o    Work closely with the Lead Interior Designer and architectural staff on project design, material and finish selections, project documentation and management.

o    Work with design team to establish the interior design project concepts.

o    Guide and execute Interior Design projects through all phases of design.

o    Prepare 3D concept perspectives, interior elevations, details, finish and furniture plans/specifications.

o    Produce all necessary interiors-related construction documents to a high level of accuracy and detail.

o    Effectively manage the construction administration process for interior construction.

o    Seek out new interior design projects and clients. Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, contractors and sub-contractors.

o    Oversee procurement of interior furnishings.

Minimum Qualifications:

o    BA in Interior Design or similar design degree.

o    NCIDQ Licensure is preferred but not required.

o    Minimum 3 years experience.

o    Experience with Revit (expectation is that candidate will be able to produce construction drawings in Revit with little to no additional training)

o    Strong design and graphic presentation skills.

o    Excellent written, oral and organizational skills.

o    Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate with others in a deadline driven environment.

o    Technical proficiency in building interior construction, techniques and materials.

o    Knowledge of building and life safety codes.

Project Architect/Designer 11-27-18

Sweet Sparkman Architects, a successful and growing architecture firm in Sarasota, Florida, and recipient of the AIA Florida 2018 Firm of the Year, is seeking a Project Architect / Designer to work on design and construction drawing production to be a part of our energetic team.

Job Responsibilities:

o    Design and drawing production for a range of residential, commercial and civic project types

o    Produce high quality construction documents under the direction of Project Manager and Principal

o    Coordinate drawing production work with engineering consultants

o    Perform Construction Administration duties

o    Collaborate with architectural and administrative team members within the office

o    Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Architect/Project Manager 11-27-18

Sweet Sparkman Architects, a successful and growing architecture firm in Sarasota, Florida, and recipient of the AIA Florida 2018 Firm of the Year, is seeking a Project Manager who is able to provide senior-level architectural design, documentation and project management expertise.

Job Duties:

o    Communicates and develops designs with Firm Principals, clients, other architects, engineers and designers. Develops and coordinates presentation documents.

o    Coordinates the preparation of and reviews final drawings, specifications and documents before submittals. Coordinates the submission of project documents to jurisdictional agencies.

o    Oversee the production and delivery of Construction Documents and Specifications. Check CDs for completeness, accuracy and coordination among disciplines.

o    Coordinate with consultants on building elements and solutions.

o    Assists client as required in the bidding process by preparing bid documents, answering the Contractor’s RFIs, and coordinating the preparation of addenda to the bid documents.

o    Manage the project schedules; manage multiple projects simultaneously.

o    Participate in the development of budget and fee proposals.

o    Provide mentoring, management and drawing supervision of junior staff members.

o    Strong understanding of how to analyze a site to determine constraints on site development; provide critical analysis of code and zoning issues.

o    Extensive understanding of building systems; construction materials, methods and standards; structural principals and building codes.

o    Strong documentation and field observation skills with an understanding of how documents translate to contractors.

o    Strong graphic and visualization skills.

Job Requirements:

o    Professional Degree in Architecture

o    5 years minimum experience if Licensed, or minimum 10 years work experience as Project Manager if non-licensed.

o    Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (our office uses Revit for all construction documents)

o    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Seeking an Architect and an Intern Architect with prior professional experience to thrive in a multi-faceted architectural design studio.
 
Needs are immediate to either lead or join the design team to complete the documentation sets on 160,000sf of multi-family and mixed-use work.

Firm Description: Halflants + Pichette Architects, an award winning design firm, located in Sarasota is seeking innovatively inclined, technically proficient and team oriented Architect and Architect Intern for a full-time position (min. 30hrs/wk). This is not a drafting position.
 
As a design-build practice, the firm is multi-tasking, highly creative, and process oriented. Our small group of team members are involved in all aspects of project delivery from design concept development, client interaction, construction documentation through specification, field representation and, if requested, construction management.  Firm projects are consistently AIA Award winning designs.
 
The firm requirements are:
