ABOUT KELSIE SHY

Kelsie is a professional landscape architect and project manager with Kimley-Horn who has lived and worked in Sarasota for eight years. She works on a mix of public and private projects across the west coast of Florida. Her practice has spanned a variety of scales and spaces, from master planning and programming to streetscape design, parks and recreation design, and rooftop amenity programming and design. Some of her most visible civic projects include Overtown Square in Sarasota, Veterans’ Community Park in Marco Island, the Bradenton Riverwalk, and the Lincoln Park Aquatic Center. Kelsie has a passion for urban design, community engagement, as well as unique custom hardscape design and detailing that draws inspiration from her many travels abroad. Kelsie holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Kansas State University.
