Course Overview: While the use and specification of engineered bamboo products have skyrocketed in the past few years, it’s hard to keep up with the many uses of this environmentally beneficial material. While bamboo is hard and dense, it is technically a grass, which means it grows extraordinarily fast with few problems. Once it is harvested, the plant can grow again from the same stalk without needing to be replanted. Thanks to technology, engineering, and innovation, the ways that architects can add a warm and sophisticated aesthetic to their projects is growing. This course shows the many ways that laminated engineered bamboo is the building material of the present and the future.

Free to members. Non-members $20.

Lunch will be provided.
Please RSVP by Monday, August 14.
Space is limited.
