The Healy Guest "Cocoon" House
Located on Bayou Louise Lane on Siesta Key, Cocoon House is a two-bedroom, one-bath, 760-square-foot cottage built as a guesthouse for Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Healy. The house gets its name from the technology used to build its roof: a polymer spray that Paul Rudolph was introduced to while serving during World War II at the Brooklyn. The “Cocoon” material was used to moth-ball ships. The materials would also be used by Frank Lloyd Wright on the exterior of the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
*Note about parking*
Bayou Louise Lane will not accommodate parking on the street.
Please park in the empty grass lot at the corner of Siesta Dr. & Gulfmead Dr. and walk down Bayou Louise Lane.
